Welcome, and thanks for the interest in Lyrik. My name is Keiko, and my partner in business and life is J. Shea. Together, we own and operate Lyrik—our sleepy café and art house located in the Hawthorne District of Portland, OR. Lryik is our collected dream realized, inspired by our love for Portland’s independent coffee shops. After taking over The Fine Grind Café in January of 2009, we’ve slowly made small changes—I’ve been adding Brazilian and Japanese craft food to the menu, while J. curates new art exhibits each month, featuring local and national talents. Every day, week, and month, we try to make the shop a nicer place to spend time, and like a child, after nine months and many changes, Lyrik was born.
